Spanish for beginners: first semester 2020

This elementary course is intended for people who do not know any Spanish.  The objective of this course is to give students basic linguistic and sociocultural tools so that they are able to interact in simple daily life situations.

The course is open to any person interested in learning Spanish at Universidad de Chile.

The course is divided into 2 modules. Both introduce students to the vocabulary, grammar and usage of Spanish language through the practice of the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. All class activities resemble social and work-related environments in order to practice the language in everyday situations. The course also presents significant sociocultural aspects of Chile as these contents are essential to effectively interact with locals.
